Happy 4th of July!!!

Hello all,

Today is July 4th, and I am stuck at work. We got up late this morning and we ate a dinner with my parents, and Heidi's family at about 3pm. We had Rot Roast, potatoes, my fresh peas from the garden, a jello salad, and homemade monkey bread. It was all delicious. I had to leave early so I could come and take calls at work. YEA!!!...Not! People who feel it is necessary to call on a holiday for travel that is further out then the next couple of days need to get a life. There are much better things to be doing on a Holiday other than calling a reservations center. Oh well, I am atleast sitting in an air conditioned building.
I am going to start posting recipe's, feel free to share if you like.

Quick and Easy Beef Stroganoff

1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion
1 16oz. sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup

Brown hamburger and onion, drain fat. Add in sour cream and soup. Serve with Egg Noodles. Yummy and how simple is that.

My garden

Hello all,

I was able to get out with the family today and pick our first harvest of peas. They are yummy, and I do not like peas very much. I am so excited for my garden. We have not had a garden before and it is alot of fun seeing the peas, the broccoli, the strawberries, and the green beans coming on. Now I just need to keep the family out of eating them straight from the garden so I can get enough to freeze. I am still anxiously awaiting potatoes, and hopefully our corn will start growing faster. It is in a bad spot and so the sun doesn't hit it for as long as it could. Oh, and we planted tomatoes, but that was only a couple of weeks ago, but they are thriving. I will take pictures and post as soon as possible.
I am at work right now. It is soooo slow, I have taken only 14 calls in 5 hours. And I am luckily keeping my average call time down.
Trent took me out to lunch today that was alot of fun.

I am still alive

I am still alive. I have been quiet busy with being back in school full time and working part time, and being a mom the rest of the time.
Yesterday was an eventful day. I was doing my homework and getting ready to go to school when I was called and told Kylie had cut her arm and the school had called for an ambulance and I needed to get to the school asap.
So I run out the door (without a bra), ran back in grabbed a bra and shoved it in my purse. Then took off for the school.
I got to the elementary. The cut was huge. Ok it probably is only 2 inches long, but it was deep. Everyone kept making Kylie squeeze their fingers to make sure she did not cut any tendions. Luckily she did not. I asked her what happened and she says that she went over a fence to get a ball and after getting the ball coming back over the fence she sliced her wrist.
She was so brave. After the EMT looked at it and made sure all her vitals were ok they let me take her to the ER. She got 7 stiches, and she only wimpered when they stuck her with the needle to numb it, other than that she is great. Her arm is hurting a little, but she is milking this, and has gotten a present for being so brave at the hospital, she was allowed to sleep with Trent and me last night.
Crezna and Talmage went to swimming lessons yesterday (Kylie could not go due to her cut). From what I hear, Crezna is getting to be a great little swimmer, and Talmage is slowly getting over his anxiety about relaxing in the water, and he was able to float on his back for a little longer than he has been.
I signed the two girls up for "Future Cardinelles Halftime". Next week they will go with their cousin Maddie and learn a dance from Northridge High Carinelles and they will perform at half time of a high school football game. How fun is that?
Talmage is getting excited about Star Wars Wii game that is coming out next week. He has saved a little under half of the money to get it. I think Trent and I will be loaning him the rest.
Other than all of that. All is well. Yea!!!!

Update

Nothing new happening here. The kids went back to school, they seem to like their new teachers. I (Holly) am back in school. 12 credit hours plus working part time so I am again feeling overwhelmed, but I think I will make it. :)
I am enjoying school though, I have a Chemistry class that I am able to learn things that I will able to use to tech children for their science curiculum. Our first lab expirement was the hot chocolate effect. If you would like to try it, you can google it and it should give links to how to do the expirement. It is basically an expirement that you try and figure out why pitch and tone is effected. It was pretty interesting.
Anyway, I will get back to blogging more often with the whats' happening in our lives.

Day 6 in Aruba

Ok, so we stayed over one more day. This is going to be hard leaving this wonderful place. We have had so much fun and crazy adventures.
Today we got up at around 10am (Aruba time) went downstairs and had breakfast in the restaurant here at the hotel. We had already rented snorkeling gear for me, we drove out to baby beach and bought Talmage and Crezna their own snorkeling mask and snorkel (we rented fins). And we bought me a mask and snorkel and rented Trent fins (since I already had rented a mask and snorel Trent used the rented equipment). Baby beach was a wonderful spot to snorkel and see fish. Kylie did not want to snorkel since her first snorkeling experience was not very good, but she played in the water, at baby beach it is surrounded by reefs and the water is very shallow, so Kylie could go out there quite a ways before she even got water up to her chest. Which that just meant that we had to swim farther to get to the reef to see the fish. It was well worth it. There were fish everywhere, we had some french fries that we held in front of us and the fish came and ate out of our hands. There were several "Dory's" and several gray large fish, and Trent and Talmage saw a trumpet fish. No nemos. That was such a blast. We then came back to the hotel and ate dinner at a restaurant within walking distance (Pizza Bob's). Not the best but oh well. No restaurants give refills so we sat parched after we drank our drinks that they brought us as soon as we got there. We then came back to the hotel and the kid's swam for an hour before the pool closed (at 9pm). Then Crezna and Kylie did Karoke (since it was Karoke night at the bar by the pool). They both did High School Musical Songs--Kylie sang Start of Something New (I went up with her and sang a little to get her going). Crezna sang Gotta Go My Own Way--all by herself. They did awesome. We recorded it. Talmage was a party pooper and went to his room after swimming. Anyway we come home tomorrow, I will try and post somemore pics soon. Not tonight, but soon.

Day 5 in Aruba

Today we got up and made eggs and toast, with our leftover eggs from making Talmage's cake. We then went on the Submarine Atlantis. That was alot of fun, I will try and put pictures on later. We saw many fish, and 2 ship wrecks (both ship wrecks were intetionally put there as a reef for the fish). We then came back to the hotel and swam in the ocean for about 45 min. then swam in the pool for about 2 hrs. The kids did not want to get out, we were all prunes by the time we were done. We then took showers, got dressed and went to TGI Fridays. They don't have all the same things as TGI Fridays in the states, but oh well. All of the local restaurants are expensive, if we go to US chain restaurants the price seems to be a little better. (still high, but better) Trent and I then walked to the casino next to our hotel for some Key Lime Pie to go (yummy). However, the smoke in the casino was much thicker than all of Las Vegas casinos put together. And the casino was about the size of 1/4 a K-mart Store. Very small.
Now it is bed time, we are debating on extending the stay one more day since we technically have the hotel until Friday, not sure we will see what tomorrow brings...I want to go snorkeling again. I think I have found my new sport I love. (Which is funny, because I hate...hate seafood)...Not "see" food, the fishy kind.
Anyway, talk to you all later.
